2 cups confectioner’s sugar
1 cup whipping cream or 3 cups half and half.
1 cup good alcohol 96% vodka
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
Beat egg yolks and gradually add the sugar, beat till lemon colored and fluffy .
Slowly add the boiled (then re-cooled) now cold milk to egg mixture, add vanilla extract.
Beat again and lastly add alcohol and mix.
If using half and half add 1 T. cornstarch with the 2 1/2 -3 cups half and half. This thickens the liquor a bit more.

1 Vanilla Bean
Pinch — ground Nutmeg, Large
4 Strips Lemon Peel
3/4 C Water
7 Cinnamon Sticks
3 Whole Cloves
1 1/2 C Honey
1 1/4 Pt Vodka
1. In a large saucepan, combine the vanilla bean, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, lemon peel, and water. Bring the water to the boil, and stir in the honey. Bring back to the boil, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
2. Remove from the heat and stir in the vodka. The “krupnikas” can be served hot or allowed to cool and then bottled.
