Keystone Pipeline and VETO is Landrieu one shy?

Keystone-pipeline-route

14  DEMOCRATS joined the Republicans to approve the Keystone Pipeline. Will a VETO be next? So far Sen.Landrieu seems to be a vote shy. Tonight will tell the story and how many have been bought off.

Curiously TransCanada just posted a warning. ??? ‘If you don’t let us build Keystone, we will build to the east.” Meaning Eastern Canada. I suspect It’s going to face just as rough a ride as Keystone or pipeline projects to B.C.

IMO This is the path TransCanada should have taken to begin with. Trouble being , they did and Canada said no. So they came up with a pipeline through the US. and bought off enough politicians to get their way. Now fearing a Veto, which is a big NO they now threaten the US by saying we will take our fake jobs somewhere else if Obama doesn’t let us pollute your lands.

The Canadians didn’t want anything to do with it and most of it is about money for the Koch brothers who have their fingers in both the entry and exit orifices. Tar sand investments and the Texas refineries and now they just bought an election to get it. The Canadians did not want this pipeline and new refineries on their soil, yet allowed their companies to spend 15 million to buy US lobbyists and politicians who of course will fight to death for this company.

A FEW COMMENTS:

This pipeline has to cross the Missouri River and any number of its tributaries. Plus, it would be above one of the largest aquifers in the nation. We already know what this oil pipeline did to the choice Yellowstone River. This pipeline has NOTHING to do with American oil, it’s a prostitution to China and the European nations where this dirty oil will go.

  1. Do I need to add Kansas and the earthquake issues that are popping up. Take it to Hudson Bay or Newfoundland for God’s sake. Build your own damn refineries for export.
  2. STOP sending money over the border to buy our politicians. You don’t allow it in Canada but let the pipelines do it in the States.
  3. Be honest and descriptive about the current keystone pipeline failures that have had leak incidents even though recently built. TransCanada!!!
  4. Is the Sioux nation bound to give eminent domain power to the TransCanada pipeline? I think not. Many more legal issues there. Strange source for that excellent link – as you will see!
  5. All pipelines need to have the rights to the land on which the pipeline rides under or over. Simply amazing that Republicans who say they are the defenders of this country are ceding an acreage 1/3 the size of North Dakota to a CANADIAN COMPANY? OOPS – This Canadian company is virtually the “Koch brothers.” NORTH.
  6. Finances for this are rapidly approaching a no-win situation. With oil prices declining this is no longer even financially viable.
  7. The liability and cleanup costs will be entirely on the US side of the border. Not technically oil, it escapes cleanup laws although this liquified tar will be much harder to deal with.

So glad that the Republicans and their Landrieu Democrat snakes make these cochsuckers even richer on a Richter scale level.

Thank God, that some people in Nebraska, if nowhere else have some inkling of the possible consequences. Let the Canadians transport it to their own East Coast for export. BTW how many of you know that Canadian corporations have registered at least $15.3 million USD in spending on direct lobbying of the U.S. federal government in the first nine months of 2014.

Strange thing, Canada prevents this type of foreign involvement in their own elections.

Did one of your Democratic Senators vote to support the Keystone Pipeline? The Yeas included 14 Republican-lite DEMOCRATS!  Thankfully the West Coast said no.

All that is left to us is a VETO!  So please join in this petition.

LANDRIEU ONE SHY? Not when it comes to being bought off.

“According to Oil Change International’s Dirty Energy Money database, Senator Landrieu has taken $1,548,323 from the fossil fuel industry since she was first elected to office, averaging over $500,000 each election cycle. By comparison, the Senate average is $392,698 per Senator.

Senator [Lisa] Murkowski (R-AK), the ranking Republican on the Senate Energy Committee, has taken $1,212,733 during her career. The 22 person Senate Energy Committee has taken a combined total of $9,422,101.”

On a lighter note I re-direct you to an article on “The Daily Currant. “North Dakota Names Landfill After Obama 😛

A more serious article is here: I would call it – Did the Saudi’s already kill it?

Our National Forests are also for sale to foreign interests. Tonto National Forest in Arizona, John McCain’s playground.
