{"id":1396,"date":"2014-05-20T22:05:54","date_gmt":"2014-05-20T22:05:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sweetgeodes.com\/senft\/?page_id=1396"},"modified":"2014-05-20T22:05:54","modified_gmt":"2014-05-20T22:05:54","slug":"whole-wheat-bread","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/sweetgeodes.com\/senft\/whole-wheat-bread\/","title":{"rendered":"Whole Wheat Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>by Lois Wright Miner<\/p>\n<p>2 tbs. yeast<br \/>\n2 cups warm water<br \/>\n3 tbs. honey<br \/>\n1 tbs. salt<br \/>\n1\/3 cup powdered milk<br \/>\n500 ,mg. vitamin C. powder<br \/>\n1\/4 cup safflower oil<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tsp. lecithin powder<br \/>\n1 egg<br \/>\n6 tbs. gluten flour<br \/>\n6 cups whole wheat flour<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle yeast over 1 cup of warm water and honey. set aside<br \/>\nIn large bowl or pan whisk together egg, salt, powdered milk, vitamin C, safflower oil, lecithin powder.<br \/>\nAdd yeast mixture and half of the total flour.<br \/>\nMix adding the other half of the flour. (If gluten flour is not used, sub 2 cups white flour and 4 cups whole wheat for the flour.)<br \/>\nKnead 10 minutes on floured board.<br \/>\nCover and let rise in bowl. (should double in bulk)<br \/>\nPunch down, divide and mold into two pans, cover, let rise in a warm place.<br \/>\nBake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
