{"id":1038,"date":"2014-05-18T14:22:36","date_gmt":"2014-05-18T14:22:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sweetgeodes.com\/senft\/?page_id=1038"},"modified":"2014-05-18T14:28:04","modified_gmt":"2014-05-18T14:28:04","slug":"garlic-bread","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/sweetgeodes.com\/senft\/garlic-bread\/","title":{"rendered":"GARLIC BREAD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GARLIC BREAD real nice with a large loaf of\u00a0 Italian or Tuscan bread.<\/p>\n<p>One stick butter melted.<br \/>\n4 cloves garlic, minced<br \/>\n2 tsp. of dried herbs*<br \/>\n4 Tablespoons grated Parmesan<br \/>\nPaprika to garnish<br \/>\nWhite Pepper<\/p>\n<p>Heat oven. Meanwhile combine the butter and garlic*. Heat but do not burn the garlic.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cut bread in half, place on cookie sheet. Brush the halves with the butter mixture . Top with Parmesan Cheese and herbs. Garnish with paprika and pepper. Broil until golden brown.\u00a0 Cut into slices and serve.<\/p>\n<p>* garlic &#8212; Option of using Roasted garlic for a different flavor. Heat oven to 350. Peel outer layer of the garlic bulbs. Trim tops off with a knife to expose cloves. Place the bulbs, on a square of aluminum foil, drizzle with olive oil. Wrap, place in baking pan and bake for 40 &#8211; 50 minutes. Garlic should be tender. Cool, then squeeze the garlic out of the cloves.<\/p>\n<p>* herbs &#8212; I make a blend of thyme, rosemary, basil pepper, but use whatever you enjoy! My mom always used parsley &#8212; not a favorite of mine.
