STORIES FOR THE SOUL AND HEART

‘An Elegy To My Son’

 TD
‘An Elegy To My Son’ is a simply written story dealing with the highs and lows, the pains, fears and frustrations that one goes through when they have a child with any kind of a terminal disease.

Our son T.D. Hofius, died of AIDS at the age of 29. His life was short but full. I think that he lived, saw and felt more than most of us ever will. He was a gift. Through his journey he taught me so much about life and love in the deepest sense of the word. I would like to share with you some of the things that I learned in the hope that these experiences can be of help to others.

THOMAS DENT “T.D.” HOFIUS
June 1, 1966 – August 14, 1995
I put a small flower by his grave and the tears begin to creep out the corners of my eyes as they have done so many times. Our wounds are beginning to heal now but the scars are there for the rest of our lives.
This is not the way it was supposed to be. We are not meant to lose our children.

Thank you, Anne Hofius

This limited edition is still available and is well worth obtaining. It was 20.00 while I worked for Annie but is still available at Amazon.com

(C) Annie Hofius as written in my magazine Bindweed 2003

Miss them both! I worked for Annie during this time and still have a copy of this wonderful book. You should not buy it for the wonderful pictures done by her son, but by the story written by Annie who would be his caregiver until he died.
